Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Cash4Exotics ("we," "us") collects when you use app.cash4exotics.com and cash4exotics.com (the "Platform"), how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It's part of our Terms of Service.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us:

• Account details: name, email address, password (stored encrypted by our login provider), and the lanes you join.
• Profile details: location, profile and cover photos, social media handles and self-reported follower or view counts, company name and details, and the vehicles you own or list (make, model, year, photos, price, description).
• Verification documents: buyers may upload a pre-qualification letter or proof of funds; sellers may upload title or registration documents. These can contain financial and personal details.
• Messages you send to other users or to our team, and any files you attach.
• Requests you make, such as interest in financing, escrow, sponsorships, or rentals, and reports you submit.
• If you join the C4E Partner program: your application answers, the state you live in, and your partner link activity. Your bank account and tax details (such as your Social Security or tax ID number) go directly to Stripe during payout setup. We don't see or store them; we receive only whether payouts are set up and the records Stripe needs for tax forms.
• If your business requests a sponsorship: your company name, contact details, logo, social accounts, and offer link.
• Payment information: payments are handled by Stripe. We don't see or store your full card number; we receive your subscription status and limited billing details from Stripe.

Information collected automatically:

• Pages you visit on the Platform and the site that referred you, linked to a random visitor ID stored in a cookie. We use this only for our own traffic statistics.
• When you click a partner link, we record which partner, where in the app you clicked it, and your account.
• When you arrive through a C4E Partner's referral link, a cookie remembers which partner sent you for 90 days, so they're credited if you join.
• When someone opens a private partner proposal or sponsor page we sent them, we record that it was opened, the type of device, the browser, and the referring site, so we know our proposal was received.
• Basic technical data our hosting providers log automatically, such as IP address, browser type, and error logs.

2. How we use your information

• To run the Platform: create your account, show your profile or listings, and let users find and message each other.
• To review and verify profiles, listings, and documents, and to prevent fraud and abuse.
• To send you notifications and emails about your account, matches, messages, and the Platform.
• To follow up on financing, escrow, or partner requests you make.
• To process subscriptions and payments.
• To understand how the Platform is used and improve it.
• To enforce our Terms and comply with the law.

3. How your information is shared

We do not sell your personal information, and we don't share it for targeted advertising. We share it only as follows:

• With other users, as the Platform is designed to work: for example, approved owner profiles are visible to subscribed businesses or rental companies, listings are visible to buyers, and your name and email are visible to the people you message. Verification documents are never shown to other users — only our review team sees them.
• Publicly, for listings: we may feature vehicle listings on Cash4Exotics's social media to bring buyers to your car, using listing photos, year, make, model, mileage, color, and a masked price (for example, $6XX,XXX). We never publish your name, contact details, location, or exact price. You can opt out with the checkbox on your listing, or ask us to take a post down by emailing cj@cash4exotics.com.
• With our team: Cash4Exotics staff, and contractors who help manage the Platform, see the information they need to review accounts, listings, and documents and to support members. Each is bound by a written confidentiality agreement and may use it only for that work.
• With service providers who run the Platform for us under confidentiality obligations: Supabase (database, login, and file storage), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments and partner payouts), Resend (email), and LeadConnector (text alerts to our team about new activity).
• With partners, only when you ask: if you click a partner link, you go to that partner's site and their privacy policy applies. If you request financing or escrow help, we may share your contact details with the relevant partner so they can follow up. We may be paid by partners for referrals.
• For legal and safety reasons: to comply with law or legal process, to protect the rights and safety of our users or Cash4Exotics, or to investigate fraud.
• In a business transfer: if Cash4Exotics is sold or merged, your information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.

4. Cookies

We use a small number of first-party cookies: to keep you signed in, a random visitor ID for our own page-view statistics, and a partner referral cookie (described in section 1) that lasts 90 days. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can block cookies in your browser, but you won't be able to stay signed in.

5. How long we keep information

• Verification documents (proof of funds, pre-qualification letters, title and registration documents) are automatically deleted 30 days after our team approves or rejects them. We keep only the result (for example, "verified").
• Account information is kept while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, listings, messages, and uploaded files. Limited records may remain in backups for a short period, or where we must keep them for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons (for example, payment records held by Stripe).
• C4E Partner records (commissions and payouts) are kept for at least 4 years, even if you or a member you referred deletes their account, because they're needed for tax reporting and to pay anything still owed.

6. Security

We protect your information with encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls that limit each user to their own data, and private storage for verification documents that only our review team can open. Our team's access is limited to the parts of the Platform their work needs. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

If something goes wrong: if we learn that your personal information was accessed without permission, we'll investigate, take steps to contain it, and notify you by email without unreasonable delay, as North Carolina and other state laws require, including what happened, what information was involved, and what you can do.

7. Your choices and rights

• You can view and update your profile any time from your dashboard.
• You can delete your account and its data any time from your dashboard.
• You can opt out of update and announcement emails using the unsubscribe link in any of them, from your dashboard, or by emailing cj@cash4exotics.com. We'll still send essential account emails.
• Depending on where you live (for example, California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, and other states with privacy laws), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or get a copy of your personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. Email cj@cash4exotics.com to make a request; we may need to confirm your identity first.

8. Children

The Platform is only for people 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.

9. Where your data is stored

Your information is stored and processed in the United States.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. If we make material changes, we'll notify you in the app or by email before they take effect.
